The First Post
It always sucks. In the blogging-world, there is an unwritten rule that the first entry of a blog will suck. So I thought, how can I too join the club?
The college student approach:
“Hey, my name is Mark. I attend Truman State University. KIRKSVILEL RULEZ! (alternately, Kirksville Suckz!). Everyone says, why don\’t you have a blog? Well, about me. I love to party, and I love hanging out with my friends!\”\r\n\r\nThis approach is good because very few people like to hang out with friends. Most people hang out at a local pond, feeding the ducks.
I could also go with the old “My blog is about how depressing the world is. Nothing matters to me. We’re all gonna die. Today I decided to stop breathing, because my lungs have rights too! Then, follow it up with some George W. Bush bashing, and call it a blog entry.
“George Bush is the worst president ever. At least Clinton had the courage to have oral sex with interns.”
Although, it is worth mentioning that Dick Cheney shot someone in a hunting accident. The media is making a big deal of it. I guess they never lived in Missouri. Crap like that happens all the time.
And that would be a first blog entry. Pretty sweet actually, I’ll go with that.
